We receive complaints from the public, registrants, and other groups, and investigate concerns involving registrants and firms. These matters may be closed if allegations are not substantiated, resolved through voluntary measures, or result in disciplinary outcomes.

Information shared between the practice and compliance teams through ongoing communication about investigation and discipline work helps inform practice resources and educational initiatives. These touchpoints may lead to new or revised guidelines, advisories, and educational resources. For example, this year’s Regulatory Learning Module responded to conduct issues involving quality management.
