Annual Report 2025-2026
Supporting Truth and Reconciliation Supporting reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples is a key part of our regulatory mandate and public-interest responsibilities.
To support the Truth and Reconciliation journeys of staff and registrants, our EDI team has compiled a Truth and Reconciliation Resource List , featuring:
• Engineers and Geoscientists BC materials; • learning modules from third-party providers; • information on land acknowledgements; and • guides, videos, articles, books, events, and podcasts.
The 2025–2026 Regulatory Learning Module also focused on deepening awareness of Indigenous Peoples, histories, and the ongoing impacts of colonization, to support registrants in building respectful relationships, enhancing cultural understanding, and contributing meaningfully to reconciliation. 30 by 30 national initiative Engineers and Geoscientists BC remains committed to recruiting, retaining, and advancing women in engineering and geoscience. As a 30 by 30 Network Champion, we continue to support the national initiative to increase the number of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30% by 2030.
Registrants who identify as women
Supporting and celebrating women in the professions To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day (INWED), we participated in two events that highlighted the experiences and contributions of women in the profession. Through a leadership panel hosted by BC Hydro and our own Perspectives from Women in Engineering event, participants explored mentorship, inclusive leadership, representation, and the future of engineering.
