The 2022–2027 Strategic Plan guides our actions as an inclusive, progressive, and future-focused regulator. In Year 4 of the Plan (covering July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026), we: • developed a comprehensive Truth and Reconciliation Strategy ; • finalized the Organizational Climate Change Strategy to guide our internal and external activities; • established the Registrant Consultation and Engagement Strategy to bring consistency and transparency to our work with registrants; and • piloted a campaign to build trust and awareness with the public. Our ongoing work in the final year of our current Strategic Plan includes: • modernizing volunteer application intake, improving volunteer data accuracy, and establishing a standardized, equitable, and legally compliant framework to classify volunteer roles; • piloting a voluntary program that supports registrant firms in advancing sustainability and climate action; and • developing an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy that advances EDI within Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s regulatory mandate.
Performance areas and KPIs To track organizational performance and progress along our Strategic Plan, Engineers and Geoscientists BC developed a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in six performance areas. These KPIs are reported to the Board biannually, strengthening the Board’s governance and oversight role by supporting more informed discussion of organizational performance, emerging trends, and areas requiring attention.
