The 1953 version of the Granville Street Bridge (an eight-lane structure) was actually the third Granville

1957 KELOWNA FLOATING BRIDGE UNDER CONSTRUCTION

The Kelowna Floating Bridge (formally known as the Okanagan Lake Bridge) was a three-lane, 650-metre pontoon bridge with a vertical lift, that crossed Okanagan Lake. Operational in 1958, the bridge was the first of its kind in Canada. It was replaced byWilliam R. Bennett Bridge—also a pontoon bridge— in 2008, and then dismantled.
