Representatives from OQM Certified Organizations commemorating the issuing of the first OQM Certificates. First APEGBC Quality Management Certifications Issued APEGBC’s Organizational Quality Management (OQM) Program has issued its first certifications to 14 participating organizations. The OQM Certification recognizes those organizations that have successfully implemented quality management policies and proce- dures consistent with the requirements of the Engineers and Geosci- entists Act and APEGBC Bylaws. The OQM Program supports organizations employing APEGBC professionals in developing or adapting in-house quality management policies and procedures through training, reference materials and other resources. This not only benefits the organization, but also their clients, the APEGBC professionals they employ, and the public at large. Geoff McDonell, P.Eng., is with Integral Group, one of the 14 now OQM-certified firms: “While we already had a number of in- house quality management tools, the OQM seminar and certifica- tion process really helped us package up our quality management process, and clarify what we needed to do in order to make it easy for everyone in the organization here to use our design and deliv- erables checklists, and have a clear understanding of the quality management task and goals.” Newly certified organizations will be listed in APEGBC’s journal, Innovation, and a complete list of all OQM-certified organizations will be made available on APEGBC’s website. OQM-certified organi- zations can also be identified by the licensed use of the OQM logo on their website and other materials. The following organizations have now received certification from APEGBC’s OQM Program:
