Conquer Conflict – Step into Your Power and Resolve with Respect July 16, 2014 – Burnaby, BC This session will benefit anyone interested in developing communication skills to assist in resolving workplace conflict.The session is also designed to support leaders who deal with conflict among teammembers, and who are interested in being able to deliver respectful feedback and conduct effective performance evaluations. Stormwater Modelling – A Hands-on Demonstration September 10, 2014 – Vancouver, BC This seminar will be a hands-on demonstration of the US-EPA SWMM 5 computer model and its application in an urban setting.This seminar will provide a demonstration of a project from initial set-up through detailed design of the drainage system. Hydraulic Modelling of Sanitary Sewer Collection Systems September 18, 2014 – Richmond, BC The seminar begins with the basics of hydraulic theory as it applies to sewer collection modelling, and then takes participants through the sanitary sewer data model. Both steady-state and extended-period simulations will be presented in this seminar. Sewer load allocation and model calibration will be discussed. Introduction – A Team Approach to Project Management September 23, 2014 – Prince George, BC November 18, 2014 – Victoria, BC Successful projects result from good time- and cost- management and effective motivated teams. Power System Stability and Control July 15-18, 2014 – Vancouver, BC This course will provide a comprehensive overview of power system stability and control problems.This includes basic concepts, physical aspects of the phenomena, meth- ods of analysis, examples of incidents of system instability, challenges to the secure operation of present-day power systems and comprehensive approach to enhancing system security.
