DEC 6/12. DAWEG DECEMBER 6 HOLIDAY SOCIAL. The Division for the Advancement of Women in Engineering and Geosciece (DAWEG) hosts the December 6 th Memorial and Social to mark the 23 rd anniversary of the tragedy at Ecole Polytechnique. This event is for all APEGBC members, male and female. The APEGBC Central Interior Branch hosts this construction site tour of the RCMP Detachment building currently being built at 4 th and Victoria in Prince George, BC. Please bring your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as the site has only a very limited supply for visitors. PPE to include: steel- toed boots, high-visibility vests, hard hats, and safety glasses. Time: 3:30–4:30 pm. Location: RCMP Detachment Building, 455 Victoria Street, Prince George. BRUNCH AND TOUR OF BC FERRIES FLEET MANAGEMENT. The APEGBC Richmond/Delta Branch hosts this brunch and tour. The BC Ferries Fleet Maintenance Unit is responsible for the planned and unscheduled maintenance of the BC Ferries Fleet. The facility conducts all planning, project management and execution of scheduled refit and capital projects as well as any emergency repairs required while vessels are in service. The province’s premier technical mineral exploration conference features technical sessions, short courses, social events, a poster session, core shack, prospectors’ tent, and map tent.
