DISCIPLINARY NOTICE: BORIANA ARGUIROVA, P. ENG., VANCOUVER, BC A Notice of Inquiry was issued to Ms. Boriana Arguirova, P. Eng., regarding her use of a curriculum vitae (“CV”) that contained inaccurate information. In lieu of proceeding to a disciplinary inquiry, Ms. Arguirova agreed to a Consent Order dated June 19, 2017 (the “Consent Order”). Ms. Arguirova admitted that she indicated on her CV that she had the following degrees and certification when she did not: • Master of Business Administration degree; • Masters Degree of Accounting and Estimating; and • Project Management Professional certification. Ms. Arguirova also admitted that she inaccurately indicated on her CV that she had experience on projects that she had never worked on. Ms. Arguirova admitted that her conduct constituted unprofessional conduct and violated Principles 7 and 10 of the Code of Ethics and the requirement in the preamble of the Code of Ethics that engineers and geoscientists act at all times with fairness, courtesy and good faith to their associates, employers, employees and clients, and with fidelity to the public needs. As part of the Consent Order, Ms. Arguirova agreed to the following: • that her membership in Engineers and Geoscientists BC is suspended effective June 23, 2017, for one month (the “Suspension”); • to complete the Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC Online Seminar at her expense within 60 days of her resumption of practice following the Suspension; • pay a fine of $4,000 within 30 days; and • pay $2,500 towards the association’s legal costs within 30 days.
