REGISTRANT INSIGHTS SURVEY
Registrants’ view of organization’s performance improves
As a regulatory body, strengthening trust and communication with registrants is a top priority at Engineers and Geoscientists BC. If the 2025 Registrant Insights survey results are any indication, the relationship is progressing. Every year, practising registrants are surveyed to gain a deeper understanding of their experience with Engineers and Geoscientists BC and its regulatory programs. And while there are areas for growth – as our registrants expressed in the survey – we are encouraged by the progress.” Geoscientists and long-tenured registrants (over 20 years with Engineers and Geoscientists BC) continue to show below-average trust and satisfaction with the organization, citing a lower emphasis on geoscientists and dissatisfaction with changes from the Professional Governance Act . From a communication and engagement standpoint, the survey found that registrants (43 percent) preferred occasional feedback with the organization. Only three percent of registrants ideally want a highly engaged partnership, while 27 percent prefer limited interaction.
