Connie’s joyful smile will be missed at reception IN MEMORIAM

It is with great sadness that Engineers and Geoscientists BC announces the passing of beloved staff member Connie Kerr-Woods, on February 4, 2025. As the organization’s Customer Service Representative and Administrative Assistant for the last decade, Connie was the first person to greet registrants calling into Engineers and Geoscientists BC or visiting the Burnaby office. Even on the gloomiest mornings, Connie greeted everyone with a joyful smile and enthusiastic hello and was the first face you would see after walking through the front door. To Engineers and Geoscientists BC staff members and registrants, she was an outstanding customer service representative, treating

words during their job interviews — a joyful “you got this!” She brought a tremendous amount of thought and care to all her interactions with staff, guests, and registrants. Outside of work, Connie enjoyed traveling, hosting family dinners, decorating, and taking pride in her beautiful collection of china teacups. These personal touches reflect her thoughtful and nurturing nature, which shone at work and at home. Connie was recently recognized for her 10 years of service. She joined Engineers and Geoscientists BC on January 19, 2015. Registrants looking to honour Connie’s memory can make donations to the BC Diabetes Foundation, per her family’s request.
