Contract Administration and Contractual Issues for Engineering and Construction Projects July 10, 2024 | Eligible for 7 CE Hours This session will cover legal and contractual issues related to the effective management and administration of construction projects. It focusses on the roles and responsibilities of owners, contractors, and engineers. It provides project managers with a good understanding of the practical implications of legal precedents and improves their ability to make better decisions. Dispute situations will be reviewed and discussed with participants. Voltage Stability and Reactive Power Planning July 22, 2024 | Eligible for 7 CE Hours The course covers the theory, practical aspects, modeling, and analysis. After completing the course, the students will be able to understand why voltage control is important, how it is achieved, and study methods used to assess voltage performance. Truth and Reconciliation: Embracing Truth for Meaningful Reconciliation September 25, 2024 | Eligible for 1 CE Hour In recent years, Canadians have started listening to the Indigenous voices that had been silenced for so long. While this is prompting many to want to act in reconciliation, collectively, a key message from many of these voices is that we must first fully engage with “truth” in order to make reconciliation possible and meaningful. Truth and Reconciliation in Canada is a process aimed at acknowledging and addressing the historical injustices inflicted upon Indigenous peoples. It seeks to uncover the truth about past atrocities, foster healing and reconciliation, and pave the way for a more equitable future.

This program will appeal to engineers and geoscientists who are or would like to become seller/doers, and to those aspiring to secure more profitable business, build their reputation, and advance within their organizations. We’ll teach you practical strategies to transform your positive intentions into meaningful actions that uplift and empower diverse experiences. Essential Skills for Managers June 19-20, 2024 | Eligible for 13 CE Hours This workshop is designed for new managers and existing managers who have not had sufficient exposure to formal training. It covers all the areas that new leaders typically need to focus on and is packed with practical examples and tools, which are practised extensively in the webinar. Climate Change Impacts on Water Systems June 26, 2024 | Eligible for 2 CE Hours The seminar will address the impact on fresh water sources and how to address these challenges to maintain the supply of safe drinking water to the public.
