CANADIAN COAST GUARD INTEGRATED BRIDGE NAVIGATION SYSTEM
The Canadian Coast Guard Arctic patrol ship Integrated Bridge Navigation System (IBNS) provides a unified solution supporting the ship’s watchkeepers with navigational and operational tasks. The system consists of ECPIN-powered bridge work stations fusing information from navigation sensors, meteorological sensors, navigation radars, navigation aids, and repeaters. The Canadian Coast Guard Vessels (CCGV) IBNS is designed and assembled in Burnaby by OSI Maritime. The CCGV project recently completed First Article Acceptance Testing for ship set one. Ship set two will be tested later in 2026. This work continues the success of OSI Maritime’s projects for the Royal Canadian Navy and other allied navies around the world. Located in Arizona, Florence Copper is the first greenfield in-situ copper recovery (ISCR) operation in the world, owned by Taseko Mines Limited. In ISCR, a low-pH solution is injected into a naturally fractured and saturated copper oxide orebody to dissolve copper FLORENCE COPPER PROJECT
minerals below ground. The resultant copper bearing solution is pumped to surface for on-site processing via solvent extraction and electrowinning (SX-EW). Final permits for Florence Copper were received in 2023; construction of the commercial production facility was completed on time and on budget in late
2025. Electrowinning of copper cathode began in February 2026, with nameplate capacity of 85 million pounds per year expected to be achieved in 2027. Florence Copper is the first new source of copper in the US in over a decade. It is forecast to produce ~1.5 billion pounds of copper over 22 years of operation.
