The Array of Hope initiative delivers a 45-kWdc photovoltaic system on the Alan Batey Library and Learning Commons in Saanich, BC, supported by the ARRAY OF HOPE INITIATIVE

EBSCO Solar Grant and College capital funding. The installation comprises 90 photovoltaic panels rated at 500 W each, arranged across a ballasted flat roof

system and a vertical wall array, generating 46 MWh/year and reducing the building’s electrical demand. The project demonstrates lowering institutional emissions and using a ballasted design that protects roof integrity and supports long term public safety.
