STRATEGIC PLAN AND KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS The 2022–2027 Strategic Plan shapes our future as an inclusive, progressive, and future-focused regulator to build a strong and resilient British Columbia. In year two of the Plan (2023–2024), we focused on seven projects to further our goals: 1. Review our activities to better align with the requirements of the Professional Governance Act 2. Manage data across the organization securely and efficiently 3. Assess the Volunteer Program and make recommendations for improvement 4. Modernize our work environment to meet workplace standards and physical space use and needs 5. Formalize our approach to engagement with registrants to better inform our decision-making 6. Establish new programs and processes to integrate the requirements of the Professional Governance Act 7. Develop recommendations for internal and external activities to take action on climate change
PERFORMANCE AREAS AND KPI S
To measure the organization’s progress and performance against the Strategic Plan, Engineers and Geoscientists BC developed a series of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in six performance areas. Each KPI has several metrics–for example, our Registration Process Effectiveness KPI considers our application process efficiency, quality of application decisions, and resources available to process applications. These KPIs aim to provide a holistic view of our Strategic Plan’s performance and impact, driven by departmental functions and strategic priorities.
