Job Position: Lombard Precast General Manager The role of General Manager for Lombard Precast LP will be very challenging for any applicant as the upcoming building program for a new facility combined with the focus on expanding our Island product offerings will be the primary responsibilities. Working with senior management the GM will develop a series of benchmarks and goals to achieve a mutually agreed upon market strategy for the Island operation. It will be critical to the success of this vision for the GM to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of the current operation and develop strategies to build on the former, and address the latter. This will be achieved through communication, market research, analysis of current and required resources and working with the resources available within the Langley Concrete Group. The successful completion and implementation of these primary goals are specific requirements of this position which are to be accomplished alongside performing the regular job duties presented in the Job Description. Reporting directly to the company President, the General Manager is responsible for all aspects of day to day operation of the plant and the market for our precast products on Vancouver and the Gulf Islands. The relatively small office environment allows for direct communication and involvement with the various operational areas including sales, production, distribution and marketing. The General Manager position is anticipated to grow accordingly in responsibility and scope with the reinvestment in new plant operations in 2013-2014. More specific, directed goals and expectations will include developing a more aggressive approach to product and market opportunities, achieving Q Cast quality control certification, upgrading and

increasing training to individual employee skills, and developing policy and procedures in line with the existing structure of the mainland operations. Other duties and responsibilities will include developing yearly capital expenditure budgets and yearly sales budgets. Qualifications and Requirements Required: • Professional Engineering Degree preferred, AScT, CET and/or post secondary degree directly related to the operational management requirements of the position listed above. • Minimum five years experience in the management of an equivalent sized production facility or company. • Proven ability to manage staff levels and employee environment equivalent to the Lombard operation. • Excellent command of both spoken and written English with ability to create and present required reports to staff, senior management, and other industry related professionals.
