“Not only would you need an unlimited budget, you would need unlimited time.” A LIVING LAB Third Space Commons will serve as a data collection pool for the next 10 years, potentially yielding important information about the in-situ performance of sustainable buildings over a life cycle. “We're trying to design this building to cultivate climate change research within its space,” Flores Pitton explained. “There’s going to be a lot of future integration of projects into this building. It's a space that's going to continue allowing further sustainability to happen. It’s a very big project disguised in a very small shell.”
