■ Most members (81 percent) are satisfied with Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s performance in fulfilling its mandate

■ Public awareness of Engineers and Geoscientists BC is increasing: 32 percent in 2018, compared to 27 percent in 2017, and 21 percent in 2014 ■ British Columbians continue to demonstrate a high level of respect for both professions (93 percent for engineers, 80 percent for geoscientists). They use broad terms to describe what each profession does, describing engineering as mostly civil (build/construct roads, bridges, structures) and geoscience as studying the earth or checking for ground stability.
